Podcasting - Get the Word Out!
A podcast is a series of audio or video digital-media files that can be distributed over the Internet. While you can make the same material available to listen to directly from your site, what makes a podcast different is that people can subscribe to your podcasts through Web feeds and be automatically notified when new content is available. Podcasts are also portable. They are meant to be downloaded to an mp3 player or iPod.
